Did you know.....

I've just worked this out by population figures....

We raised $70,000 in Putaruru in 1 night...

There's 3,800 people in Putaruru
that's the equivalent of the following cities having to raise this amount to match us based on their population:
$1.6 million in Hamilton (335,000)
and $24 million in Auckland 1.3 million people......

Putaruru Rocks yet again......

The Glitched Sponsors Pages from Pink.... I was so wild when we couldn't get them up on the main screen....Bex had worked all day to get the pink DNA

At last... The infamous SPONSORS SLIDE which was sssooooo important and sssooooo much hard work had been put into it by Bex during the day. We were devastated when it wouldn't "talk" to the projector on the night - a serious case of stage fright!! Sorry that we disappeared for a while - we've caught up on life just in time for Christmas - a few cheques still to come in and we're standing around $70,000 - not bad for a town of just over 3,500 population..

A MASSIVE THANK YOU EVERYONE!!

Go Bus Go To Pink...

For those of you that didn't see the cool GO Buses coming into town - here's how they were dressed at Hamilton for the occasion. Many thanks to the South Waikato District Council for sponsoring the buses, and thanks to go bus for the extra effort.....

Raffle Tickets....

We've just discovered that ALL of the winners of the raffle were sold tickets by our very own Natalie - maybe she should have bought my bloody lotto ticket on Saturday night!

Last Night Totally Rocked......

Hey everyone - if you came along last night, leave us a message and tell us what you thought......

A big thanks to KERRE WOODHAM who did an amazing job of being MC for absolutely NO FEE AT ALL...............

Our glitch of the night was that the laptop stopped talking to the projector, and we could NOT get the powerpoint displays up on the screen to show our list of FANTASTIC sponsors, without which, the evening couldn't go ahead - to say we were devastated was an understatement - and so I will attach the powerpoint to the blog over the next 2 days to show our sincere appreciation for the extra mile that they went to to ensure the event went ahead in as good a style as it did - (see the photo link below.......)

We're currently sat around $70,000 dollars raised on the night which is tremendous.

The $500 Dr Lewins product sold for $350.
Fiona Tunnicliffes cow sold for $500.
Ruby the doll sold for $300.
Anne Berbens Quilt sold for $1800 - with the underbidder offering $1000 to the Trust for Anne to make a quilt for them.

Clematis by Fiona Barrett - Sold for $1,300.
Warm Allison by Sandra Ogle - sold for $2,200.

Anne Berbens Breast Cancer Quilt & more thank yous....

Here is Annes, rather funky awesome breast cancer quilt. It has been hanging in the Information centre as part of Involve '08, and could have been sold 10 times over. She has made it lightweight and backed with pink polar fleece so that if anyone is undergoing cancer treatment, it will keep you warm & add some brightness to your day with her bling take on all things girlie, a great pressie for someone undergoing treatment.

Thank you Anne..

We also have even more thank yous......
