Anne Whites Tee Shirts.....

I have seen the prototype of Anne Whites tee-shirt design and it is AMAZING - it's going to look fantastic. We have another few coups too. Roz Brown from Graham & Brown accountants in Putaruru is going to be our accountant for our functions and has offered her services for free including any photocopying AND a financial pledge too so a HUGE thanks to Roz for that - she is also the Treasurer of the Waikato Breast Cancer Trust. Roz jumped straight on board without thinking, and Anne reckoned it was the easiest phonecall she has ever made. We also have Michael Jameson to speak who is one of the Trustees and is an oncologist at Waikato hospital too, so a huge thank you to Michael for that too, because he too jumped straight on board. Next meeting on Tuesday so more updates to follow......

Well, as mentioned in our Movember Blog, we have a super, massive huge shout of THANK YOU going to Maree Worth of Putaruru Super Liquor. That woman is a true godess. She's helped us out sooooooo much last week, she's a true legend. Don't forget that if you're travelling through good old Putaruru and in need of a prezzie for someone - Maree makes bloody awesome gift baskets so stop by and grab one [ for a small fee of course - lol]....Thanks Maree. We've pushed next weeks meeting out until the week after to give us extra time post Easter to get jobs done. We're on track bar our late night licences which will be down to the council - and a few responses which we'll chase up after Easter. We've got all of our artists signed up as go aheads, 2 more to chase up, then we can start on the main body. For myself & Anne, we have to get as much as possible tied in before calving starts on our farms - but at the moment, we'd love some rain to just be bloody well milking at full steam - lol. The ticket designs are looking pretty cool, Nat's still not tickedy boo, but Anne's doing a fantastic job with the tee-shirts, now to tie up the tee-shirt supplies.

Tickets, tickets everywhere...

We're getting requests in for tickets thick and fast at the moment. We're designing them as we speak in time for the next meeting which will be next Wednesday - but with the Easter break in-between, I may just have to sell my kids to give me a little more time. Nat has pneumonia (as well as a brain tumour), but still rings up to see who the contact was for the lighting that we wanted. Stupid me gives her the name of the company before realising what she wanted it for - and yes, I did tell her to give it a bloody rest for one day. The term "falling on deaf ears" springs to mind.........The Pink magazine is out at the beginning of April - SO DON'T FORGET TO BUY YOUR COPY...........

What were we laughing at????

We had to have a photo taken this week - prior to a "real" one being taken tommorrow

- Nat on the left, Annie in the middle and Anne on the right - Annies son was taking the shot and asked us to laugh - so Anne told him to say something funny - now at 11 years old, what do you think that was???????

In The Pink........

Yay - it looks like we've caught the April edition of Pink magazine, and got ourselves a write-up. Don't know what PINK magazine is - then click HERE. Pink magazine is a biannual lifestyle publication dedicated to breast cancer, first published in 2005, it is a magazine informing and educating NZ women and men. So if you're local - call into McCabes or PaperZone and DEMAND that they stock it, and if you're not a local, demand it at your local papershop too. BP Putaruru have always stocked it so BIG THANKS to them. We can't wait....

Artwork Almost Sorted....

Well we've had even more great news. Local artist Fiona Barrett has pledged artwork for the auction. It's even more special as she is a breast cancer survivor, and she's young too. Another big scoop is Putaruru stone artist Jocelyn Pratt has also agreed to donate a piece to be auctioned off - here are some links to work that she has done in the past - Turning Leaf, Jocelyn, Transcendance - and though Annie would like Transcendance for herself (note to John), Jocelyn will be making a smaller - more appropriate piece for us at Think Pink. Annie spent the morning on the phone to Jenni at Waikato Breast Cancer Trust who seems just as excited about Think Pink as we are (well almost because we are slightly unhinged!!). Well the next meeting is about to start.....

Travel Managers.....

Good news arrived yesterday, the magnificent Kay Humphries from Travel Managers has managed to get Travel Managers on board to provide us with an overseas trip to auction. We are sooooooo stoked AND incredibly grateful. The South Waikato News have got behind us too - so look out for the regular articles that will be featured there and a BIG thanks to Fairfax Media. I know that Natalie has been busy gathering in time for our next meeting on Tuesday - so until then..
