Thank you to Kip - a huge thank you once again. Who knows what could get added before the weekend.

Almost the end of the week that was.......
Well this week has really been truly amazing and I'm not sure where to start with the thank yous. On Tuesday evening, Nat and I went to see Mike and Raewyn at @ Junction in Putaruru to arrange the filming of a movie short that we're making. We had an awesome evening, and finished with a tour of their amazing accommodation. We had a very unexpected gesture from them both that blew us away. The ENTIRE project is to be done for free....This really has saved us thousand of dollars - money that can be put to equally good use elsewhere. I was [rarely said] speechless!!! A massive thank you to you both a million times over. Wednesday saw us all having an interview with Sandra Hunter from Urban & Country - what a hoot, we had an absolute riot and she probably left thinking we were total maniacs. We tied the loose ends with Cambridge Cuisine, and they will be providing the pre function canapes on the evening, to which we seemed to spend an age salivating over their menu choice. Then, as if we needed more excitement this week, the fantabulous Kay Humphries from Travel Managers Putaruru who has arranged a trip for us to auction. The trip will include flights to Australia, accomodation AND a show - WOW Kay, a MASSIVE THANK YOU to you and Travel Managers. And finally - yes there's more - Anna Hawkins will be joining in with the entertainmet on the night - that takes our number of different musicians / bands to 4 in addition to the other surprises that we have in store. Anna sang this week on Stars In Their Eyes as Sarah Brightman and has an amazing voice. Maybe next week, I may fill you in on the story of Natalie and 11g of crackers.....

Are we nearly in June?????
Well, we've just had our regular Monday meeting. For once, we were ALMOST on time....So what's the gossip???
KERRE WOODHAM has been confirmed as our MC for the evening - we have a HUGE thank you for Kerre for accepting and to Annah Stretton for arranging it all. Sass has been organised to do the desserts - and for the locals amongst us, Sass is nurse Jane Reas' daughter who has worked all over the world as a pastry chef. Deosan have come on board as a major financial sponsor, and although details are being finalised, they are actually as excited about supporting breast cancer as we are. A massive thank you to Deosan. We're going to feature in the Urban Country magazine pushing the rural part of our quest, and slowly but surely all parts of the jigsaw are coming together. Nathan from Hamilton Party Hire came to see Annie this week, and it was apparent that a bigger marquee was needed - thank you Nathan for all of your help, and our final artists have come on board - Fire Works of Putaruru have confirmed their piece for the auction. We're slowly getting the website ready with details of the auction and the facility for us to link any out of town prospective buyers with a bidder on your behalf - we wouldn't want you to miss out. Word out on the street on dress code is varied - from Annah Stretton & Trelise Cooper pink creations to old pink high school ball gowns and some of the most bizzare fancy dresses we have ever heard of and yes - jeans & tee shirts are allowed HOWEVER you must have SOMETHING pink on, or you will be "issued" with regulation something pink...
As soon as we've finalised everything for our auction, we'll be able to list them all and then the website will probably go live at the beginning of September.
Dean Gittings our local Arapuni signwriter has very kinly donated his services to paint the container on the way out of town to get everyone to Google Putaruru Think Pink - just in time for the Field Day traffic, so thank you Dean for the invaluable advertisement.
Last week, we had a wine flown in from Aussie that had the perfect packaging for us, and it was tasted over lunch. The packaging was perfect, but Nat and I thought the pink sparkly was "bloody awful". Nat said that she was taken back to being a 16 year old and buying cheap $5 bottles of spumante, I for once was speachless, although my screwed up face told the story and Anne White said that she actually liked it so it must be bad because her taste in wine was sweet & sickly. A unanimous decision was made to buy local and stick to Kiwi wines...YAY
So another week ahead, and a huge push for sponsors - if only we weren't so finiky - lol..........

Hot Off The Press
OK,OK - delays in the update, but here's the news kinda hot off the press. The Bejeweled Bra Ball usually hosted by Annah Stretton in Hamilton is not going to happen this year as we're going to host Think Pink in Putaruru instead - YAY. We had a few sleepless nights when it was going to be moved to October, but I think that the trust realised how pedantically nit picky we are and gave us the go ahead on Monday morning. We prepared the proposal and had to wait (hence our silence) but now we're louder than ever and there's a bigger space to watch!!!! Thank you guys...

Thank You Matel....

Amongst lots of Pink goodies from Matel is 2 pink scrabbles...Maybe this could help me with the obsessive scramble games on facebook...Anyway - this week has been quite a week for organisation for us - more later, but we're all in information hyperdrive and I'm about to start making some of the personal invitations in my obsessive manner. I think that I'll only make 1 and have to call in the troops for their approval:0) Thank you Matel once again - and keep watching this space..

Tuesday Meeting..
Well, things during the holidays hve been fast & furious around here with Annie & Nat helping a friend with a wedding, but all things are go for the next meeting on Tuesday. Graham & Brown Accountants have come on board with sponsorship, and all details on the band hare concrete - a huge 9 piece to play as the venue is quite a large one. We know the band well and they will have the place rockin.. Now is the hardest part for us - and that is getting the sponsorships. Local people and businesses have been amazing so far, and now we need to go further afield. We're frantically trying to sort out our MC's who would literally be the icing on the cake if we can pull it off - maybe we need a weekend of prayers and crossed fingers, toes EVERYTHING....
